I used to curl with a guy that wore a kilt quite often, his curling shoes were a pair of highly polished steel toed work boots that he only wore when he was actually on the ice.

Nobody ever said curlers had to have any fashion sense. :)

They're a bit like the trousers we had to wear in a restaurant kitchen I used to work in.

I've always wanted some cow pants, they're white with black markings like the skin of a cow :).

Nah, you've got a grippy one and a slidy one. You can also get clip-on Teflon slidies for adding to ordinary training shoes (obviously not for your high-end players).
