Hey guys,

You may or may not know already, but currently there's a bit of ruckus going on about the UbuntuOne Music Store, which is powered by 7Digial. Now, 7Digital's a great music service and has quite a selection, and offers it in two formats: MP3...and FLAC. FLAC's decent enough for desktop users, but it's a fairly large format and isn't much good on portable media players due to its size.

This petition is about the possibility of 7Digital offering their music in the Ogg Vorbis format, as that's a great compromise. Free codecs, free software, and the size is comparable to Mp3's.

If anyone thinks I'm on to something here, I'd love to see some signatures for this:

Definitely, this would mean a lot to those who prefer not to install proprietary codecs :D

I just wanted to bump this back up. 90 views, and 1 reply?

Come on, guys. :P

Edit: We're up to 81 signatures now. :D

As I will almost certainly never use Ubuntu One Music Store and can convert audio files if and when required, I don't care what format gets used by 7Digital.
