Every time I try to do update or install a new software, it stops me, I tried to do update through the terminal but it didn't work, giving this error message :
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.

You have a lot of references to hardy repositories in your sources.list file so firstly I think you should comment those out (with a # at the start of those lines), then run the command you were told to as well ie
sudo dpkg --configure -abut comment out those un-needed lines first.

Now try
sudo apt-get update, then
sudo apt-get upgrade
