Theme Problems

I'm using the Mac OSX theme on my Ubuntu at the moment, and I'm getting some odd spots on the top bar, as well as other places. Could it be due to my resolution of 1024x768 (I have to use this, the monitor I got was a freebee, and only goes that high) I've got a screenshot to show what I'm talking about. As you can see, on the top some spots are dark grey (where I've seen it should be a smooth continuous color), and in the web browser, the vertical scroll bar has some odd blue bars on the end of it.

Oh, I'm running 9.10. I get the feeling downgrading to 9.04 just might fix the problem (as well as my audio issues). I'm going to give that a shot.
