Hi guys,
I have the ubuntu 9.10 and kubuntu 9.10 live cds, (currently have kubuntu installed). Could i install the ubuntu packages from the cd, as to select between them at login, instead of doing:

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-dekstopid like to do this because i am on a lousy bigpond connection with 12gb/monthly and extra downloads add up pretty quick.

thanks,

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure when you pop in a disc like that it will say that it detects packages and would you like to open the disk with package manager. You should then be able to install ubuntu-desktop from there.
