Hi All, Does Thunderbird 3 run OK under Ubuntu 9.1? I'm presuming it does but just want to make sure. Thanks! I've been using Ubuntu for 4 hours so I'm a real newbie. Cheers, Tom

I have it running under Karmic. Can't seem to find any odd behaviour, so for me it's working fine.

Thanks. How did you install Thunderbird 3 in Karmic? I did some googling and found out there are different ways to install it. I want to understand the best way to install before I start.

Thanks,

Thanks,

There are many ways to install thunderbird by adding third-party repositories on your sourcelist, I prefer official release from mozilla. For more info, have a look at here (http://surferzworld.com/?p=193)
If you are using 64 bit, you can try ubuntu-mozilla-dailly PPA (https://edge.launchpad.net/%7Eubuntu-mozilla-daily/+archive/ppa)

How did you install?
