I need to install wxPython 2.8.10.1 on my Ubuntu v8.10 os. This os does not have internet access, so the apt-get method described at http://www.wxpython.org/download.php#binaries (Debian/Ubuntu section), then http://wiki.wxpython.org/InstallingOnUbuntuOrDebian. What to do? I have a common hd partition, though, with the os I am currently accessing the forums with.

Sorry for the funky formatting - I am not having success in turning it off.

Install from Software Center

Didn't recall seeing the Software Center (would have to go boot up Ubuntu), so I found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu_Software_Center, and from what that says, my v8.10 almost certainly doesn't have it. Also, still don't see how Software Center would find wxPython, since the Ubuntu os does not have internet access.

I need someway of downloading wxPython on the my machine that DOES have internet access, and moving it over to the Ubuntu os.

So where can I find wxPython?
