I kept thinking all last night that I was dying or having a heart attack.
(I would talk about this around a water cooler btw)
I skipped about 3 doses of this new medication. Which is 1 1/2 days, and I didn't even realize I was skipping them.
I heard that on this medicine, even if you only skip a few doses and begin taking them again, you can feel bad over a week. Which is terrible, because I was finally doing great.
I can't sleep, no matter what now..
I feel like I ate a raw rotten steak. My body feels paralyzed. My chest is hurting like crazy. My muscles feel like they just got out of a taffy machine. My eyes are very dilated. I'm anxious as god knows what. My heart skips beats, and is beating pretty slow. I don't feel like I'm here. I don't know what's going on around me. I'm extremely bland. I have no energy. I could go on for days.

Is there anyone else who has ever had really bad withdrawals from medication? How did you deal with it.
I can't find help on Yahoo! Answers.

Certainly not on yahoo! Answers, try something a little more official and credited, such as:

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000949.htm (

a bit of googling...

You should try going without coffee, caffine for 24 hours and see what happens. That is if you drink 8 cups or more a day. Not pretty. Medication , drugs even over the counter stuff can reek havoc on a body. The best and gentle method is an alternate or minimal amount of the dog that bit yah. This allows the body a little comfort. Mostly it is very uncomfortable.

Same as above...you need to take this up with a Professional.
To me - it sounds like you are having a possible allergic reaction to that medicine, or something else.
Most people think of allergic reactions as skin rashes etc....not at all true.
It is quite common to have psychological reactions just as much as physical. (and sometimes severe)
Especially the feeling of impending doom or death...this is a perfect telltale sign of a drug reaction.

You really need to see a Doctor.

never heard of a medication where missing a dose would have that bad of effect. call your doctor ask him.sounds more like withdrawal symptoms than a missed dose.

I've been on various medication for most of my life. Recent a brand of antidepressants ended up poisoning me, causing 2 weeks of being very sick and going through the body's natural attempts at detoxicifizing itself.

You should call your doctor and get his opinion on how you should proceed. Remember he is a specialist who knows you and your medical history, we are just random users on web forums, we aren't qualified to give advice on medical conditions.

Please, if only to be reassured call your doctor.

We sympathesize with your plight and wish you well, however our tech support and community forum is nowhere near qualified to give medical advice. Something this important requires that you consult a professional. You are important, please discuss this with your doctor.
