Hi!

Please advise how do I upgrade my Firefox from 3.5.8 to 3.6 version? I have downloaded the file which has an extension of bz2. I am new to *nix and a struggler. Kindly advise and every response is deeply appreciated and valued. I use Ubuntu 9.10.

A step by step explanation wd be appreciated!

Many thanks!

The first step is to unpack the .bz2 file. Just right click on it and choose extract.

This will give you a folder. Inside this you will find a file named firefox that you can double click on to launch firefox.

If you need further directions on how to modify shortcuts etc., write back here.
