I burned a live CD of Ubuntu 9.10 64bit which I know works correctly because it will boot up in my desktop I just can't seem to get it to even load the live CD part, it will go to the screen to select the language and then I will click "try without making any changes to my computer" and it will seem to load for a second and then my screen goes blank and nothing happens. I have a Toshiba Satellite A505-S6005 the specs are as followed Intel core i3 2.13GHZ 64bit, 4GB of RAM DDR3, SATA 500GB HDD, Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator HD With 32-1696MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory. And I'm running windows 7. Any help is appreciated

This seems to be a common problem on several computers with "i" processors. On a computer I was working with (the same you have), I simply had to wait about 10mins... after the install it works ok, but is still very slow.

Supposedly this will be fixed in the next kernel.

I waited 30min with no options set on 10.4 beta with no luck, I went back to 9.10 for now :(
