Hi, I just bought an HP 8530w, and installed linux ubuntu 9.04 x64 on it, everything seems to work fine, but I can't seem to adjust the screen brigthness with the keys. Even when I go into system>preferences>power management, I can't seem to adjust the brightness of the screen, even when I put it from 100% to 50%. I've also tried to download drivers from FTP://download.nvidia.com/Xfree86, but everytime I download the new drivers, I can't seem to install it because of unknown characters. What should I do?
