I have several files in PDF format that I need to mark with a stamp that has a time stamp, company name, and a signature. Usually this is done by printing the file, physically stamping the document, then scanning it back in.

This process is time consuming and wastes paper so I would like to find a tool similar to Adobe Acrobat that will allow me to digitally stamp my documents.

Anyon know of such a tool? It doesn't matter if it works in Linux or Windows.

GIMP can open and edit pdf documents.

I have actually looked at that, but it's a little cumbersome. I'd really like something similar to the "Stamp" annotation feature in Adobe Acrobat.

looks like pdftk can do it, i'm having trouble with it though, I have a thread open. I think it might be a bug... I may have to downgrade from 1.4
