I have worked with numerous Linux distributions in the past on PC systems with no flaws. However recently after a system error killed my Leopard OSX install, I attempted to install Kubuntu, Ubuntu, Fedora 12, and even Opensuse on my Macbook. Each time the live cd will boot and go through the motions of an installation. However upon rebooting, the system will not recognize the installation on the hard drive, only booting from the live cd. However once I boot from the live cd it recognizes the installed files and even the saved configuration files that I had set up post-install (Skype was added, and all of my IM log ins). Can anyone help??!!
