Hi,
I reinstalled Karmic after using it quite for a while due to a failure in disk mounting. I reinstalled every application I used before. But I found that my laptop began working rather slow after the reinstallation. Also Pidgin messenger, which worked perfectly before, no longer works perfect. As soon as I click on the "Buddy Ticker", it switches itself into "Not responding" state and prompts me to force quit if I try to exit the application. Other than this, everything is perfect.
I am not able to figure out the cause for such behaviour of my laptop. Can anyone help me figuring the problem?
