I am trying to understand how I can download the netbook ISO as I did from the site and make a bootable USB flash drive to install 9.10 on my Samsung N150.

I did read:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromUSBStick

And the tutorial is firstly very poor and all GUI bases. Can anyone please tell me if this can be done from CLI?

If you have another ubuntu computer, doesn't need to be UNR, just use USB Startup Disc creator in System-Administration. Use the UNR ISO and it will work fine.

If using windows computer the easiest way is usually to use the free program unetbootin.

Nope - I only have Linux machines. CLI only. I decided to use a different version of Linux.
