hi,

i am trying to set up my own cloud. i am trying to set it up using eucalyptus in a distributed environment with 2 cluster and there respective node controllers. eucalytus has the following limitation on its instances formed

"In a node there can only be one instance per core at time"

all the systems i am using are 64bit systems (AMD Athlon 64 X2). I have a requirement where i have to run 2 instances simulataneously on one node utilising both of its cores.

So i would like to know if i can run 2 instances if i use 32 bit server OS in my cloud or should i be using 64 bit server OS.

i think society should have merged out of the 32 bit OS years ago. 64 bit ftw especially for servers... if you can make it work with 64 stick with 64.
