I have an old dell laptop that I want to put ubuntu on but it doesn't have a cd drive, I can't boot from a network, and the bios doesn't support a usbdrive. It does have a floppy drive and I wanted to know if there is a bootfloppy that allows me to boot from a usb?

I tried this once
It's likely that that you will not be able to boot a USB even if you rewrite the BIOS depending on the age of the machine
In the end I was able to find a CDWR/DVDR drive for mine and install from LiveCD I'm using it now!!;)
What model is it ? I may be able to tell the components you need

It is a Dell Latitude CPi. That had a trial version of windows xp on it before I bought it.

EDIT: I just read this article saying that you can boot from a floppy first then a usb, I just don't know how this is done?
