Sorry for the addition, I realized I should've specified my flavor. Anyway. When I upgraded my system for the first time, I got a message asking me to decide between a few menu items for configuring grub-pc. When I chose to keep the current version installed, GRUB booted to a CLI. What menu item should I choose?

I've always found the Package Maintainers Version works for me.
