I'm completely new to Linux, and I have played around with a couple of versions, but I'm getting problems with Ubunutu which is what I want to use, and I'm very close to going back to windows, as I can't seem to solve these issues.
1. The sound I can't get to work, and I've read several threads on how to resolve this and there seems to be so many different methods to solving this issue, which i'm having no luck with.
Does any one know what is the actual problem and the best way to solve this??
2. Is I've got a Nvidia 8400GS video card, and when I Put it in the machine it loads up fine with a picture but as soon as it logs onto the home screen the picture goes, and again, I have read threads and I downloaded Envy, but after I try clicking on it from the menu but it does nothing, could any one tell me the procedure to installing the card.
I would really appreciate someone's help on this, as I like everything Linux offers but the problems.
