Hi,
i would like to know if i can upgrade my ubuntu 9.04(remastered) to 9.10 by using the ubuntu 9.10 desktop edition cd ?..... i have a slow internet connection and so cant use the network update option..... any help would be greatly appreciated...... and sorry for the bad english

Hi and welcome to the forums,

It appears that you can only use an 'alternate install' CD to upgrade with, not a standard desktop CD http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/upgrading#Upgrading%20Using%20the%20Alternate%20CD/DVD

So, you'd have to source a copy of that.
