Ubuntu installs but doesn't boot

Hey guys,
I am using a 32-bit version of Windows 7 and I want to dual boot Ubuntu.
When using Wubi, it automatically downloads the 64-bit version of Ubuntu. I have also downloaded the 32-bit version but I get the same problem each time.
After restarting the computer, I choose to boot Ubuntu, and after that a message comes up saying "Completing Ubuntu installation" and a countdown from 5.
After this, the screen goes blank and nothing happens, with no sign of Ubuntu loading.
This occurs on both the 32 and 64 bit versions.
Any help?

It might be video driver related. If you have the ISO downloaded can you burn a cd at slow speed (not more than 8x) and boot the Try Ubuntu option that runs from the cd to see if it will load the live desktop correctly.
