hi everyone,
i have used ubuntu for almost 2 years now. recently i got this laptop:

it came with windows 7. I installed 8.04 with no hesitation and now i am stuck with UNCLAIMED drivers. video, sound, wireless. Can someone help me? give some advice?
i then tried installing 9.10, but no luck. i couldn't get it pass the install ubuntu screen.
always black scree. though once after waiting like five minutes on the black screen i heard the regular ubuntu start sound. i have no idea why this happened for the screen was black. any suggestions at all? do you think these problems might be solved by installing the latest ubuntu?
