Guys.. is there any software in ubuntu equivalent to visual studio.. or which software can be used to develop GUIs.. Please help me.. thanks in advance...

You could try Monodevelop, or QT Creator, or Glade. Those are 3 off the top of my head :)

An alternative to visual basic is gambas.

Guys.. is there any software in ubuntu equivalent to visual studio.. or which software can be used to develop GUIs.. Please help me.. thanks in advance...VB is available though the awesome Mono+MonoDevelop dev platform. I'm unsure if it is the latest version though.
C# is a nice (better supported in Mono, code completion etc etc) alternative, in particular if you are already familiar with the .NET libraries from VB.
