Youtube has recently had a lot of improvements and they are starting to offer their new version to some users. I did give it a go.

As you may already know, they have added the 'like' 'dislike' options instead of the 5 stars, and the menus are now drop down ones thereby saving space.

if uve seen the new youtube, do u like it?

i mean it 'could' be fierce. headed in the right direction, but needs some work as of now. the page looks a lot less cluttered, doesnt it?

Thank you :) IMO, they have done a pretty good job - the page now looks more organized.

For me if it ain't broke don't fix it.
YouTube isn't broke and doesn't need fixing.
Can't see why they would want to change anything.

Looks good by my standards. Not like they did a complete revamp.

one thing i dont like about the new youtube is now the related videos list isnt that 'compact' (like it used to), hence it occupies quite some space on the page. hence although it looks less cluttered, its more 'expansive'.

I don't like the "improvements". When I go onto someone's profile page I want to be redirected to a new page/tab where the video will play. Not have it play as an embedded video in that person's page.

I can only take your word for it. I live in China so I cannot access that site. The government blocks youtube.

Yep, let Youtube comments sway your decision. Always the smart choice.

Welcome to life.

Why thanks :)

Actually I've been alive since before electronic calculators and when Star Trek "communicators" were science fiction.
These days mobile phones are taken for granted, when I was a kid they just existed in people's imagination.
It's not news to me that things change ;)

Come to think of it, when I was a kid man could go to the moon and there were airliners which travelled at supersonic speeds.
Some technology is going backwards, not everything improves over time.

sorry to dig this up from the graves.

i guess the new youtube is now default for everyone. unfortunately none of my youtube userscripts (or greasemonkey scripts) are working anymore, lights out isnt working, autobuffer isnt. :( having to rely on google chrome extensions.

also, hate the new look. its so damn difficult to find things!
