I made this topic in the general section and got no leads, so I figured I'd get better results here.

Okay, well this isn't really an urgent issue or anything. you know how when you set the terminal to transparent, without any graphical effects on, it shows your desktop wallpaper rather than the window behind it?

I actually like that effect. The only problem is that it creates a "rough" shakey motion when moving the terminal around, rather than the smooth motion you get from having effects on.

What I'd like to do is be able to have my terminal transparent (leaking through to my desktop rather than the window behind) while at the same time having my desktop effects on.

Does anyone have an idea on how I would go about doing this?

This is how it looks like with effects on

This is how it looks like with effects off

With effects off, my transparent terminal looks directly at my desktop.

I want to have the same benefits of advance, without the terminal being "truly" transparent.

I've already addressed my reasoning behind this.
