Hi all,

I have a command-line system of Ubuntu installed, and I'd like to use it to create a bootable USB disk of Ubuntu from the ISO file. I know that usb-creator can be used to do this under X, but it doesn't seem to have a command line version. The closest thing I could find to a command-line procedure was here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromUSBStick. Is there an easy way to go about making a bootable USB disk, or are the steps used by usb-creator documented somewhere?

Distros like Arch have .img files specifically made for USB sticks. Are there any such .img files for Ubuntu? I wasn't able to find any.

Thanks,

nazgulord.
