HPG71 laptop
dual boot Windows7 installed 1st.

It all worked well for a week or so, after a clean install outside and after W7..

Im no code tech though I have spent many days and hours doing recommended terminal fixes with limited success. These are the docs I followed . . . and issue persists.

I HAVE:
edited the grub via boot "e" (Worked I think, not since)
used the grub commandline to boot Worked maybe 10 times)
reinstall Grub2 from LiveCD,
add grub2 apps through Synaptic
added wubilr to C drive (worked once, not since)

NOTE: in a recent update that did not succeed, I was asked to install a "partial update" . . . it was unsuccessful, though other updates installed effortlessly.

The problem seems to be intermittant and progressive in my case. Now I cannot use the Ubuntu OS with any method mentioned above, although I can access everything via W7 and live CD when needed.

I was ready to do a reinstall on my OS partition until I saw pa ost with the issue reoccurring after reinstallation!

Effective guidance is appreciated. If you ask for info from the terminal, please "code it" for me cause Im not good with it without an example.
