I have tried almost everything I can possibly think of but when trying to install Ubuntu Server 9.10, i get to "Intsalling base system" and it always either freezes at 6% like "validating initscripts" or shows an error saying a file like "libsigc++-2.0...." is corrupt. I have checked the integrity of the CD (passed) and have tried on different hard drives and different types of partitioning...any help would be great!
