Hi all. I just bought an Asus Eee 1201n. The one with the Nvidia Ion. Anywho it runs fairly decent in windows 7 but I really want my ubuntu fix. I don't have a usb big enough to install off but and as netbooks don't come with a CD drive I'm lost. I have a portable is there anyway I could install off that? I would like to install ubuntu on my HDD not just live boot it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You will need:
1> Your portable drive to be atleast 1GB in size
2> Formatted to fat32 filesystem.
use cmd
format /FS:FAT32 z:
Replace z: with your drive
or swissknife (http://www.compuapps.com/download/Swissknife/swissknife.htm)
3> UNetbootin to prepare your portable drive.
DOWNLOAD HERE (http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/unetbootin-windows-latest.exe)
UNetbootin Main Page (http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/)
And finally, you need to boot into your usb drive.
