I dont recall seeing this when I bought a usb drive in 2008.
However, due to the fact that I dropped that one into the subway, I bought a new one (cheap) and found (see screenshot).
p.s. you might have to enlarge the photo a bit to see what the arrow is pointing at.

My last Kingston was a POS, but their warranty program is amazing. The band new on works great too.

Lots of these say they'll support Linux. All of SanDisk's and Transcend's do.

I didn't see it in my Kingston pen drive. Just plug in and it work and so is my Aztech usb wifi adapter.

I don't remember the packages but newegg, where I've bought a few have advertised linux support in the specs for years.

That's good news. I recently purchased a Wirless USB adaptor and it had a penguin on the box alongside the Windows and OSX logo. I was quite surprised.

I have a 3 years old Kingston drive with Linux listed in the box.

If I remember correctly the wireless card I have in my Desktop had Linux 2.6+ listed as a system requirement among the usual Windows variants on the box and in the manual.

Well, if they can advertise Linux support with no additional work having to be done (as USB is a common standard), I don't see why they wouldn't.

Only thing I noticed is 16gb turns out to be 15gb !! (but we all know about that mullarky)
