From what I have read lately I'm not the only one. Been running Xubuntu 9.10, upgraded and couldn't get past the Ubuntu logo. Went to cursor and blinking hyphen in the corner and stayed there. Tried installing Xubuntu 10.04 Wow, nearly an hour and a half later I got to the first screen and upgraded, another half hour and the same thing, cursor and blinking hyphen. Gave up and installed Fuxbox from Linux Mint 8, at least it works.
