Okay so here is the details"(as in the past i have neglected to add details)
I'm running Karmic on a dell latitude
Specs:
20 gig hard drive
256 Mb of Ram
And No CD drive....it was a modular bay CD drive
I cant boot from usb and I have no floppy disc drive

What I want to do is install a lighter distro...but seeing as though i lack anything to boot with....I very well may be f#ked.
I installed Lubi; but to no avail. It proved to be a waste of time.
I can use help
Any suggestions...maybe i should buy another CD drive buy another Cd drive but that would be a waste.
Please my Brethren in Linux....i bequeef thy AIDs

Is this a notebook?

Do you have a similar system you could do the install on, then put the hard drive into the system with no CD drive?

How fast is your internet connection? Could you do an internet install?

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/
(it can either make a bootable USB drive or install directly onto the hard drive, go look there for more info)
