can anyone help me with this? I'm trying to install 9.04 on an Acer Aspire One AO250 netbook. it already has winxp on it, and i installed ubuntu onto a separate partition. so when i boot up, i can choose ubuntu or xp in grub.
the problem is when i choose ubuntu, i immediately get a black screen with a blinking white underscore cursor in the top left and nothing else happens. i left it for over an hour and it does nothing. booting into winxp works fine though. anyone have any idea what could be wrong?
i googled a bit and found this: http://blog.dipinkrishna.info/2009/06/blank-screen-after-boot-process-in.html but it made no difference.
any help would be appreciated. thanks!
