I am greatly troubled. Friends, please help me. I just installed LXDE, Xfce, KDE and ROX in my Ubuntu 9.10. But now, the default File Manager for GNOME has become PCMan. I want NAutilus back, as the default ile MAnager for GNOME. How can I do it? (I created a launcher with nautilus --no-desktop command, but still, while opeing Home folder directly, it opens PCMan). Thanks in advance, friends.

Thanks all. I found the answer at http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-software-2/change-of-default-file-manager-700122/. I am posting this link to help people use it.

Try Alt + F2 and then type gconf-editor and press enter.

This will bring up a Gnome editor with many settings. Try Gnome -> Apps -> Component Viewer and/or other settings. To be honest I am not sure exactly where the setting is.

This is for Gnome anyway, for other managers you will have to figure them out one at a time.

BTW: Try to be specific on the thread name, it will be easier for people to help if they can see the nature of the problem from the list of thread names.
