hi everone,im montablac

and ive been windows free for just over 2 months now \\:D/

and i just thaught that an introduction was in order seeing as im new here

and for those that have helped me in the time that ive been here,thank you

but enough about that,a little bit about me

i live in NZ
i am neo-pagain,or wiccan
i want to be a game designer(if you know of any linux game develoment systems let me know,i alsow know a bit of C++,only the basics tho,no GFX stuff)
and im runing a custom made computer with ubuntu 5.10(cant rember the names as of yet)

Someone actually brought this up recently (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=65383&page=4 -- post #32, second one on that page). That mentions some of the stuff available, but also notes the general shortcomings of Linux game dev stuff in general. I posted in that thread suggesting that maybe some users from these forums start to carry out some of the points he makes at the end of the post, so maybe that'd be something you're interested in (you could both learn stuff about the available options and also help provide back to the community :) ).
