I was just reading through the comments on Linus Torvalds blog post (http://torvalds-family.blogspot.com/2010/02/happy-camper.html) about his new Nexus One smartphone, and someone mentioned the Geeks Phone (http://www.geeksphone.com/en/).

Looks pretty nice, I never heard of this phone or the company, anyone have any experiences with them/it?

The specifications (http://www.geeksphone.com/en/moviles/especificaciones.php) are interesting.

The user who first mentioned the phone commented that apparently it has an open nature that invites hacking and modification:

You should check the Geek's Phone. Is not powerful as the Google's one, but the company brings you root access and invites to hack it. It's the first mobile that I bought without any company contract. Byez! -Source (http://www.blogger.com/profile/03171412060087120884).

I curerntly own a Geeksphone Zero. This device is low quality and hugely bugged.

Don't buy it.
