Will we see KDE SC 4.4 final in Karmic?

So KDE SC 4.4 final released today. I know the developers are probably busy working on polishing Lucid for LTS but does anyone know if KDE SC 4.4 will be in Kubuntu 9.10 or will it skip Karmic and go straight to Lucid?

Hopefully we'll see it packaged in the backports. Actually I'm sure we will; after all, 4.4 RC1/2 was. I'm also sure that it won't be in the "regular" channels for updating in Karmic. You'll have to do a distribution upgrade to Lucid to get it.

I'm pretty excited for this release.

Is there any way to install this on Ubuntu? I'd like to have it along with gnome.

Nvm, i think you just add "ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports" by entering the following into the terminal:


sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports

And then install the kde-full package from synaptic. The install will be done for me in an hour. I'll edit my post if it works.
