is there a way to install ubuntu so it's command line only? I'd really like this because I almost live on the terminal and for me everything else is just slowing down my computer.

Nerd.

j/k

I often wonder what live is like just on the terminal. I've tried browsing w/ different cli web browsers, and the experience sucked pretty hard so I gave it up.

I think minimal install will get the desired effect too, but with less apps out of the box? i have not used minimal install before.

download the alternative install image and do a minimal install.
