I have to do a seminar this semester. Could you guys suggest me some good topics ?

Something with compilers. They teach you pretty much all areas of computer science: regular expressions, context-free grammars, trees, lists, graph algorithms, computer architecture, optimizations, type systems, and software engineering.

You can't work with compilers without being a good computer scientist :).

You could do a talk on multithreaded applications and how to test them?
