what is the name of the technology used to accept or process tags from shell / command.
eg myprog.exe -f -h
I wish to have my executable run two different modes (i could build to seperate programs but they are using 99% same code).
I would like to have standard run mode myprog.exe or secondary mode myprog.exe -p
ive witten my program in c++, but don't have a clue what this technology is called, if it is cross platform supported, or anything else about it.
any pointers or clues please :)
