Hello, I am quite new to ubuntu, but just from start I have problems!... sounds like windows...

Therefore:
I downloaded and burned Ubuntu 9.10, prepared for installing,
but then I choose to either try ubuntu or install after some time my monitor starts to show: "Mode not supported". And neither safe graphic mode changes anything. (I am suspicious that then booting then I choose safe graphic mode, nothing changes at all! At this new cd...)

I tried:
CRTL ALT F1
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
but no answer...

video card gf gt7300.

In fact I have an old ubuntu cd, then I use it in safe graphic mode ubuntu starts miraculously...
