Tracker icon in gnome notification area gone

I disabled the tracker notification icon in the panel. I want to reenable it, but can't find the option. Whenever tracker is indexing my files I get a black line where the magnifying glass icon was.

If I wasn't clear in my first post, the tracker icon (magnifying glass) that used to populate the notification area is missing. Does anyone know how to get it back? Thank you.
