I'm on Ubuntu 9.04 running an older kernel: 2.6.28.14 generic
ever since a recent update
I've been experiencing a strange anomaly
when I try to view the contents of my trash
the background wallpaper changes on different surfaces
or goes to white
I lose the trash icon
-----------------------
also when I connect via samba to an OS X laptop
I can connect but when I open a window on my Linux laptop
in order to drag files over
the same thing happens:
- background changes
- or goes to white
- lose desktop icons of dirs and files
- window for smb://192.168.1.1xx/mydir closes after opening
is this bug a known issue?
is it solved by upgrading to 9.10?
is this caused by Compiz/Emerald/Gnome?
any help is greatly appreciated!!
