kde4 command line change

I have a script that starts a VNC server on my box. I am trying to find a way to turn my wallpaper blank when/before I start vnc, and put it back to slide show when I am done. Anyone know what I need to be looking for? I have searched around and found nothing.

Maybe you could use that (in kde 4.4)?
