What are the applications most needed after an Ubuntu minimal install?
I have installed xorg and KDE-Minimal after doing a base minimal install.
Now I need a network manager for my wireless networks, and I don't know what it is called.
I also need to know the best package manager, everything I should need after doing an Ubuntu KDE minimal install.
I also need an app where I can right click and extract a file.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you! :)

plasma-widget-networkmanagement I think is what you'll need (I'm not a great KDE expert so feel free to tell me I'm wrong).
For package management Synaptic is still king but comes with Gnome dependencies. For me that's no biggie but you may disagree. Failing that there's always apt-get and the terminal which I use most of the time anyway :)

For file extraction grab rar and unrar otherwise you'll not be able to do those, it'll automatically integrate into whatever you use. I use file-roller in gnome, but not sure what you use in kde. Sorry to be not much help.

instead of file roller, you use ark.

most needed? really depends on what you plan to do. I would install firefox and the firefox modifications to make firefox play nice in kde.
bangarang is a nice all in one audio/video player.
