hey guys,

so i'm trying to install this online homework java plug-in for this site called ALEKS, and though i already have java installed on my distro (linux mint 7; jaunty jackalope) i cant seem to get the website to see that i've installed it.

here are their instructions: http://www.aleks.com/downloads/linux_jvm

i've installed and moved the .jar into the right directory (i hope)--so i guess this is two-fold: where is the JVM directory and how do i run that thing so i can do my homework?!?

thanks for your time
ryan
