Hey guys, I seem to have trouble installing wine from the links/websites that are in the forums. I get the error message of Package dependencies cannot be resolved,This error could be caused by required additional software packages which are missing or not installable. Futhermore there could be a conflict between software packages which are not allowed to be installed at the same time. Any suggestions?

How exactly are you trying to install wine?

Normally you would either use the standard repos of ubuntu, or you go to www.winehq.org and use their more updated repository, which always has the latest and often beta version. I always used that when I needed wine, but as I no longer need or use it, I can't say how good it is.

However I never had any difficulty installing it so I wonder where your problem is coming from, hence my first question to you.

Went to winehq, did the repository for 9.10 and then went to applications-> ubuntu software center -> add -> search wine -> click install and then the error message.
