Looks interesting (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2010/02/05/x2_unveils_itablet/)

Uses an Intel chip, so installing Linux should be a doddle.

Now... Do any of the distros have a tablet spin yet?

I've checked out the new iTablet and it looks pretty much like an enlarged iTouch. It does not really seem like it's that great, but perhaps someone could enlighten me more about what's so different or better about the iTablet versus the iTouch other than being larger.

It's not an enlarged iTouch. It's not even made by the same company.

I'll expand on my previous post. Although the device looks like it would be good, why on earth would they not come up with a proper name that doesn't copy Apple's naming pattern? Do they really think it will sell better that way? And if so, it's a **** company that should rely on good hardware/software and a usable interface first.

But iMagicOS is the greatest OS of all time right?

Where in my post did you even see I was suggesting such nonsense?

Oh, awesome. It runs a full-fledged desktop operating system, it seems.

Oh wait. That's XP. I take it the tablet doesn't have multitouch capability?

Despite the picture, the article says it runs Win7. Odd that the picture doesn't match the text.

Ah well, it's not like it's another bunch of specs and statements for another unreleased bit of kit. ;)

Both are based on Intel chips clocked at "up to 1.6GHz with 2GB of cache".

Can I get an explanation on the "2GB of cache" thing?
A typo?Is it from the future? Not the cache I know?

I didn't say you were. Obviously sarcasm doesn't translate well over the internet...

No one uses the SarcMark.

I prefer the Dark (http://grab.by/2dCN) Mark (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Mark#Dark_Mark).

The Apple lawyers must be starting their engines! Doubt this will be given the chance to see the light of day long enough to be sold.
