Compiz fusion works on my gnome but not my kde

Hi, I have Compiz fusion working on my gnome but I can't seem to get it to work on my kde session, I've installed the compiz-kde, and clicked the kde plug-in on general although it just shows a question mark not an icon similar to the gnome option, I've tried reinstalling the ccsm and emerald package's but to no avail, has anyone got any idea's?

p.s. its ubuntu 9.10 with the gnome then kde-desktop installed
