Hello,
I am very new in Ubuntu as well as Linux environment. Last night removed my Windows from my PC and load Ubuntu9. Working perfectly. But the issue is for running media files.
One of my friend has told me that I have to add the media libraries in the system.
I don't know how to do this, searched a lot but in vain.

I want to the maximum types of media files (audio & video) to be run at my system like mp3,mp4,wmv,wav,dat,vob,avi and so on.

I heard about Wine but dont' know how to install and how to install 3rd party software with it. I am not familiar with the Linux command well.

So, if there any guide or tutorial to resolve my problem? Please give me any suggestion to resolve my above said problem.

Thanks..
